Man I got off so early today. I did have to go in on my day off and the chef felt bad because he was kind of a dick about shit that was a combination of not my fault and me being right

I ordered 8 cases of brocollini, each one is like 12 pounds, so about 100 ish pounds. APPARENTLY, the shipping company stacked them on top of other boxes instead of in their own pile, AND threw loose ice on top of all of them. And then delivered at like 7am so it all melted and flooded the walkin and destroyed a bunch of other boxes and it took like three hours to fix and it's lucky they weren't busy

And then sent me another text a few hours later when I was taking a nice nap because I was super hungover telling me someone was sick and no one else is available, and then like three more in ten minutes being like WTF dude I need you to call me back

Then I woke up, went oh yeah I don't fucking want to do this but then I remembered that's kind of part of my actual job, so whatever, called him back and he didn't answer

And then was like fuck I guess I'll head in, it was for the first six hours of that shift the slowest I have ever been there and not been cutting people left and right

And then he tried to defend it with I got too much, like no dude I know what the fuck I'm doing. And then today we cooked off the last case, and I got to say told you so, and then apologized and was like well I guess you can bounce. Thanks for fixing the other day lol
